...keeping the pink theme

The date is finally set.. July 2, 2011! (It's about time! ..as many of you have said..or thought!) The church and reception venue are booked. The theme is set... my first inspiration were these pink peonies below. I fell completely in love with peonies after seeing these photos. I've seen more and more peonies over the past year in magazines and wedding websites. The theme..I would call it.. is French country or country French whichever.. there seems to be no end to the ideas that are dancing around in my head. It doesn't help that there is this gorgeous French style home decor store in town. They have tea and decorating tips once a month..so much fun! ..And I've also been to a design market here in town that showcases many interior designers. I don't know if it's just the theme running through my head or if it's just the trend but it seems that I've been seeing more and more French influences lately. So far I've carefully been searching for and creating items that will fit into my wedding theme. More to come!

Thinking of using an arrangement like this for the aisle. Maybe on every other row. The church is probably the most difficult part of the wedding to design/decorate. The seats are grey chairs unfortunately..they're nice..just normal..not pews unfortunately. I've been to several rental places looking for aisle markers.. the metal ones with hooks..Every rental place seemed to have the same seventies/eighties looking brass aisle markers/candles...I'm still at a loss for what to do at the church..

...and then something like this for bouquets..except for the red peonies. I saw some cute small bright pink peony bouquets at Pottery Barn today..it was a gathering of 3 large peonies...looks so easy to make. ***edit*** bridesmaids bouquets already bought..hot pink peony arrangements... now looking for elegant vases to put them in during the reception.
